I am fascinated by the power and craftiness of words so all of my pieces start out as a phrase or question which I usually retain as the title.

When I’m confronted with a phrase or question that preoccupies my thoughts I know I’ve encountered my next or a future work.

Fabric collage makes me feel like an alchemist: it’s magic when disparate pieces of fabric are tied together with stitching to become a question or a puzzle or a story.
